The Party At Gam's

Due to minor hiccup with our computer, it has taken me several days to be able to document Kendall's final party this year. We actually had this party on Tuesday, November 11th. Yes, that's right, she had 4 parties in 4 days (and that's not counting school or Girl Scouts, both of who had parties for her also)!!! This last party was a blast, because we got to spend it with one of our favorite people ever...our Gammy. And yes, Kendall insisted on wearing her "cheetah clothes."

When we arrived at Gammy's, all 3 of the children were immediately interested in what might be inside Kendall's birthday gifts. And so, Gam let them go ahead and open presents first. Kendall was thrilled to receive a Disney Princess Memory game (anything Disney Princess is pretty much an automatic hit).

Gammy also gave Kendall a very nice set of musical instruments (which mom suggested to Gam...and might be regretting a little bit). While we waited for Kendall's requested lunch: pizza (no surprise there), the children happily jammed away on her new instruments. Nolan has been working tirelessly on a drum solo ever since.

Finally, our pizza arrived (yum). We all enjoyed our pizza, except for Nolan, who provided entertainment in the form of drum music during our entire meal. We had some very interesting conversation, and really enjoyed our time together catching up on our week.

After lunch, we had dessert. Gammy had ice cream. We all love ice cream. Since neither Natalie nor Kendall could choose between chocolate ice cream or rainbow sherbet, they had a little of each. Yes, that's 4 bowls of ice cream between the two of them. Nolan enjoyed some chocolate ice cream, while the adults indulged in some slow churned mint chocolate chip.

Gampy had to work, but he made sure to wish his Kendall a happy birthday over the phone. We visited a bit longer before we had to head home for Nolan's nap...and yes, everyone was looking forward to that. We said our goodbyes, and headed out with another successful celebration under our belts.

We love you Gammy and Gampy, thanks for a wonderful ending to the "Never-Ending Birthday."
